The Computational Genomics Group website was redesigned and developed to create a clearer, more modern, and more trustworthy digital presence for a scientific research team.
The old website had a simple academic structure, limited visual hierarchy, and fragmented content presentation. The redesign focused on transforming it into a professional research platform with improved navigation, stronger visual identity, and better content organization across key pages.
The new website presents the group’s research focus, team members, publications, contact information, and academic partners in a clean, structured, and accessible way.

1. Create a modern research website that is clear, credible, and easy to navigate
The main goal was to redesign the existing website and create a more professional digital platform for the research group. The website needed to communicate complex scientific information in a simple and structured way, while also supporting the group’s academic identity and making important content easier to access.

The visual style was created to feel modern, scientific, and trustworthy. The light blue palette gives the website a clean medical and research-oriented atmosphere. Hexagon patterns add a subtle scientific association without overwhelming the content. Bold condensed typography creates a strong visual identity and makes the hero section more memorable. Laboratory images, eye-related visuals, publication cards, and partner logos help connect the website design with the group’s field of work.
